The Lipstick Drawings are currently on exhibition at gavlakprojects.com Gavlak Projects|, in West Palm Beach, through April 4th.
This series of lipstick drawings was created as part of my alter ego project. The Patina du Prey Drag Pose series between 1989 to 1992. Patina became an art world cult figure who was known for her third gender, gorrilla public street performances, and appearences. Patina created multiples, posters, palm cards drawings and sculptures.
These performances were widely exhibited at to name a few, Andrea Rosen, Gallery, Paula Cooper Gallery, The New Museum and the Whitney. In 1990 She had her frist one person exhibition at Simon Watson Gallery, entitled Drag.
